Ihamba safari lodge is located in Queen Elizabeth national park in south western part of Uganda situated near Lake George.

The 5 star lodge with about ten suites provides majestic views of the magnificent lake, and vast Savannah vegetation of Queen Elizabeth just from inside your suit as the large beautiful windows are made of glass, hence no need for straining when looking out to the pearl of Africa’s wilderness, the lodge offers spacious thatched cottages built with stones and added tapestry of African local materials built to allow privacy.

The rooms are very comfortable with internet, bathroms, air conditioners and flush toilets; the well trained hospitable staff will warmly welcome you and cater for all your needs during your stay here.

The Ihamba safari lodge, also boasts with an outdoor swimming pool, where you can deep yourself and swim after a long game drive or chimpanzee trekking day, with an outstanding on site bar serving a number of drinks alcoholic and nonalcoholic provided by an experienced wine cellar manager who’s good at wine selection with a spacious dining serving local and international cuisine meals throughout the day.

Lunch on request can be packed for those who would love to have it during the game drive or boat cruise at the Kazinga channel. Conference halls are also availed with Wifi internet provided check in time is from 12:00 hours east African time and check out is by 10:00 hours East African time rolling bed for kids are available and the maximum age for kids staying from is 6 years old.

During you stay at the spacious Ihamba lodge, you can take a game drive to Uganda’s most visited national park Queen Elizabeth and encounter the wilderness of Uganda as you come across the famous tree climbing lions not known to be elsewhere except lake Manyara in Tanzania.

The lions are found in the Ishasha sector of the park and often seen lying on acacia and sycamore trees in the afternoons while the Ishasha plains are swarmed with numerous animals like elephants, different types of antelopes, hyenas, leopards, and many others, you can also tour the volcanic crater lakes like Katwe or the fresh water lakes George and Edward, a boat cruise at the Kazinga channel with a packed lunch would make your stay more memorable as you will be able to see herds of hippos just few meters from your boat and a great number of water birds for bird enthusiasts.

The great Kyambura Gorge is an ideal place for visitors who would love to go on chimpanzee trekking here you will see numerous primates apart from chimpanzees the blue monkey, black and white Columbus monkey’s and the olive baboon among the rest.

Nature walks are also done from Kalinzu and Maramagambo forests where you can be able to see the great rock African python and many bats with the canopy of the rain forests.
