Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel
On arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will then meet our company representative / guide and transfer to hotel where you will relax, have dinner and an overnight stay at Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort (Luxury)/ Ropani hotel (Mid range), Florida hotel(budget).
Day 2: Arrival and Charter flight transfer to Kidepo National Park
Upon arrival at Entebbe international airport, our company representative/guide will be waiting to drop you to Kajjasi airfield where you will connect for tour transfer to Kidepo Valley National Park using FLY UGANDA. This will take about 45 minutes to reach the airfield however you need to check in 30 minutes before flight departure.
The charter flight departs at 8:00 am. On arrival at the park, you will be received by the park guide/driver who will either take you to your lodge to refresh then proceed for a game drive OR will connect directly on a game drive. With you packed food, do a game drive around the park as you get another experience of viewing wildlife in big numbers.
Enjoy sighting herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, giraffes and antelopes and Zebras. You will the return to the lodge refresh and have your lunch. In the late afternoon, you will do a guided nature walk. Later return and relax at the lodge and have a sundown evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Apoka safari lodge (luxury), Nga’Moru Wilderness camp (mid-range), Uganda Wildlife Authority Bandas (budget), Camping in the wilderness at the Bush camps.
Day 3: All day game drive to Kanangorok Hot Springs
Wake up early in the morning, have breakfast and catch the sun rise behind the mountain, then set off for a morning game drive heading north of the park with your packed lunch. Along with your ranger guide, drive to the hot springs via the palm trees lined Kidepo River. Along your drive, you will be able to view a farm of ostriches including herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, cheetahs and many other animals then finally the finally you will take some time at the hot springs. After that great game drive return to the lodge and relax while enjoying the sight of animals that come close to the lodge. Day 4: Charter flight transfer to Kampala then Lake Mburo National Park
In the morning after having breakfast at 7:00am, drive through the park on your way to the airstrip while viewing wildlife in big numbers; enjoy sighting herds of elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, giraffes and antelopes and Zebras. The driver will then drop you off to Apoka Airstrip to meet your charter flight back to kajjansi airstrip using FLY UGANDA.
Upon arrival at Kajjansi airstrip by around 10:00am, you will meet your driver / guide who will be waiting to transfer you to Lake Mburo national park. The park is located is located in south west of the country and it is the smallest park. The drive time from Kampala to lake Mburo is approximately 4 hours including stopovers.
At the Equator, this is along Masaka road where you will have an experiment to prove that you are on the equator and be able to also take pictures and buy some craft products if you are interested and you will also have lunch. From there you will continue to Lyantonde town and finally you will enter Lake Mburo national park while viewing wildlife like the Impalas, waterbucks and zebras along the park gate. In the afternoon, you will do a game drive. Check in the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge(luxury), Rwakobo Rock lodge/Mburo lodge(mid-range), Eagles Nest lodge(budget)
Day 5: Morning Game drive and afternoon boat ride
Afternoon breakfast in the morning, set off for a game drive where you will spot variety if animals including the cape of buffaloes, elands, warthogs, giraffes, zebras, Topis, leopards and many more animals. Alternatively, you can do a game drive while on a horseback. This is an activity organized by Mihingo lodge where you can do a horseback safari while viewing animals. In the afternoon, after having your lunch at the lodge, you will embark on a boat ride on lake Mburo. This is a 2 hours boat ride with more spots of wildlife including hippos, crocodiles and other animals for water at the lake. Since lake Mburo is one of Uganda’s bird destinations, you will be able to spot different birds along the lake for example the common pied king fisher, pygmy king fisher, African fin foot, papyrus bush shrike and many more. Return to your awaiting vehicle for the transfer to your lodge for relaxation. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo lodge(luxury), Rwakobo Rock lodge/Mburo lodge(mid-range), Eagles Nest lodge(budget)
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Early morning, have breakfast and continue through the game trails as you wind up the wildlife sighting especially the beautiful Zebras. Drive through Mbarara-kasese road and continue to Queen Elizabeth a journey of about 3 hours on the road. Arrive in the park and check in your lodge and refresh. In the afternoon, set off to Ishasha sector where you will observe the tree climbing lions, take the whole afternoon viewing the lions along with other animal. In the evening return to the lodge for relaxation. Dinner and Overnight stay at Mweya Safari lodge(luxury), Enganzi lodge/Park View lodge(mid-range)
Day 7: Game drive & the Kazinga channel boat cruise
After early morning breakfast, you will start your day with a morning game drive; this is a great moment driving through the game trails with a great view of the Rwenzori Mountains on clear moments, expect to see lots of animals including elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, different antelope species. Return to the lodge for lunch and prepare for an afternoon boat ride on Kazinga channel and return at around 5pm. Proceed to the lodge and relax at leisure. Day 8: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park
After having breakfast in the morning, set off through fort portal to reach Murchison falls national park with en route lunch in Masindi town. Then continue to the park and proceed to the top of the falls. While here, you will enjoy falls and witness the Nile river explode violently and form a very powerful waterfalls. Later in the evening check in your lodge for relaxation, proceed to check in your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at Fort Murchison lodge (midrange), Paraa safari lodge (luxury), Red chill (budget).
Day 9: Game drive and boat ride on River Nile
Have early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will proceed for a game drive in search of animals, expect to meet animals like buffalos, waterbucks, lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, Jackson’s heart beasts, oribis, warthogs and other species of animals at the delta. Return later to the lodge for lunch and freshening and prepare for an afternoon activity. After lunch at 2:00pm, report at the landing site to start your boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. At the comfort of your boat, you will see different animal species such as hippos, crocodiles, elephants and buffaloes at the water edges including different bird species. This boat trip is about 3 to 4 hours cruise. Dinner and overnight stay at Fort Murchison lodge (midrange), Paraa safari lodge (luxury), Red chilly (budget).
Day 10: Transfer back to Kampala
Wake up early and have breakfast in the morning and set off for a 5 hours journey to Kampala with a stopover at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary, a home of approximately 15 southern white and black Rhinos. This is located about 175km north of Kampala along Gulu highway. Branch off from Nakitma trading center in Nakasongola town. Spend one hour trekking the Rhinos after which embark on your trip back to Kampala. Then connect to Entebbe airport to catch up with your flight back home.
