2022 Queen Elizabeth national park entrance fees; Park entrance fees refer the amount of money  charged by Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) a government body in charge of tourism to any tourist visiting Queen Elizabeth national park or any national destination in Uganda. 2022 queen Elizabeth national park entrance fees are valid until June 2022 and a day’s entrance ticket is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance. Queen Elizabeth national park is the second largest national park in Uganda located in western region in four districts that is Kasese, Rukungiri, Kamwenge and Rubirizi. The national park is famously known for harboring the tree climbing lions which are found in Ishasha sector and other animals like elephants, buffaloes, waterbucks, Uganda kobs, leopards, primates like chimpanzees, black and white colobus monkeys, l’hoest monkeys and variety of bird species. Queen Elizabeth national park offers interesting activities like game drives, boat cruise on Kazinga channel, chimpanzee trekking, guided nature walks, bird watching, cultural tours among others which visitors can engage in during the safari.

Tourists who wish to visit Queen Elizabeth national park are required to pay entrance fees which are independent of packages activities, they are also required to present a valid identification document to confirm their resident status, a day’s entrance ticket is valid for twenty four hours from the time of entrance, extra time spent in the park after 24 hours will be charged as an extra day, children are person aged between 5 to 15 years and persons below 5 years are exempt.

Foreign non residents pay 40 USD per person, foreign residents pay 30 USD per person and East African citizens pay 20,000 UGX per person

Children

Foreign non resident children pay 20 USD per person, foreign resident’s children pay 10 USD per person and East African children pay 5,000 UGX per person.

Annual park entrance passes

Foreign resident individuals pay 350 USD per person and East African citizens pay 150,000 UGX per person

Foreign resident couple pay 500 USD and East African citizen couples pay 200,000 UGX

Foreign resident family with a maximum number of 4 children pay 700 USD and East African family with a maximum number of 4 children pay 300,000 UGX

Foreign resident pay annual corporate pass of 1,500 USD and East African citizens pay annual corporate pass of 2,500,000 UGX.

A safari guide and taxi driver pay 100,000 UGX and a tour company driver enter for free.

Tourists who intent to visit Queen Elizabeth national park numerous times throughout the year can pay for annual park entrance passes. This however only applies to foreign residents in Uganda and East African citizens.

Vehicle entrance is charged separately, annual park entrance passes is not valid for package activities and foreign residents require a work permit valid for one year to qualify.

Foreign non residents pay 30 USD per person, foreign residents pay 30 USD per person, East African citizens pay 30,000 UGX per person, school groups pay 10,000 UGX per person and 350,000 UGX per group. Launch cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park takes approximately 2 hours and a maximum of 40 people. Minimum boat charge of 4 foreign non residents is 120 USD and UGX 120,000 for 4 Ugandans.

7 to 14 seater aircrafts are charged 40 USD for foreign non residents, 40 USD for foreign residents and 80,000 UGX for East African citizens

15 to 20 seater aircrafts are charged 50 USD for foreign non residents, 50 USD for foreign residents and 100,000 UGX for East African citizens

21 seater aircrafts and above are charged 60 USD for foreign non residents, 60 USD for foreign residents and 120,000 UGX for East African citizens.

Helicopters for foreign non residents are charges 100 USD per landing, 125 USD per landing for foreign residents and 250,000 UGX per landing for East African citizens.

Landing fees exclude entrance fees payable by passengers and pilots en-route do not pay entrance fees if they spend less than 2 hours in the park.
