Day 1: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
Your guide will pick you up from the airport or your hotel in Kampala and embark on your journey to Queen Elizabeth national park. There are several optional stopovers along the way including Mpambire drum makers, the equator at Kayabwe and Lake Mburo national park. You will enjoy lunch en-route in Mbarara town at Igongo cultural center with an optional tour of the museum. Proceed with your jour driving past Ishaka and Kyamuhunga tea plantations, arriving the park late afternoon. Check in and spend the evening at leisure.
Dinner and overnight stay at Enganzi Game Lodge or Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 2: Game Drive & Launch Cruise
Wake up to an early breakfast and head out for a game drive to catch up with the early risers and cats as they retire from the morning hunt. The game drive will lead you across the verdant savannah plains where you will encounter many of the big five and other small game. A sunrise in this park is itself rewarding enough! Return to the lodge to freshen up and have lunch. In the afternoon, you will go for a launch cruise on the famous Kazinga channel (the channel connecting Lakes Edward and George) known to posses the highest hippopotamus concentration in Africa. You will as well see giant Crocodiles, lots of birds and a good number of animals that come to drink and soak up the channel.
Return to lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight as above.
Day 3: Transfer back to Kampala & Departure
Enjoy breakfast at leisure and depart the park for Kampala with lunch en-route in Mbarara or Masaka town. Proceed with the journey arriving Kampala in the afternoon and transfer to your hotel in Kampala or drop off at Entebbe airport for your onward flight, marking the end of your 3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari.
