Katara lodge is located in Uganda’s most visited national park, Queen Elizabeth found in the western part of the country.

The lodge is positioned in the great east African rift valley escarpment at the edge of  the park in the Mweya area overlooking the vast endless Savannah plains, farmlands  and the Virunga and Rwenzori ranges,

Katara lodge, is one of the best lodges you can sleep in, during your safari to Queen Elizabeth national park providing five luxurious spacious African thatched cottages each cottage having a touch of African architecture from the local materials got within the Katara village community.

The spacious cottages contains bath tabs, showers, wooden floor tapestry of African furniture, towels and toiletries availed one can deep themselves and relax after along safari drive or tiresome chimpanzee trekking in the Kyambura George area.

The lodge is very small meaning you can get attention from the friendly staff services available all the time with campfire available every evening you can relax under the bright shining stars, and take a drink varying from local to international soft and hot dinks from the pool bar, the lodge also contains a swimming pool so its a fantasy intimate place for those who love swimming.

One of the unique things is that your bed can be set up on the balcony or the all room can be opened up so that u can behold the stunning views very well and take numerous pictures as possible.

The Katuguru gate can be accessed by a fifteen kilometers drive. Apart from just spending a night in this splendid lodge one can take a game drive to the park and view a number of wildlife like tree climbing lions in the Ishasha sector lazily lying on the acacia and sycamore trees, numerous types of antelopes roaming about the Kasenyi and Ishasha plains, hyenas, herds of buffalos, warthogs and many other animals .Harbored by the park due to its richness in bio diversity ranging from the enormous savannah vegetation of the vast plains, papyrus swamps, crater lakes.

The rain forests of Maramagambo and Kalinzu, the Superb Kyambura George where you can do chimpanzee trekking, visit the great crater lakes like katwe and boat cruises at the Kazinga channel lined up with numerous hippos throughout the day with elephants, crocodiles and many water birds.
